155th Anniversary Homecoming Service in Pictures

Sunday, November 6, 2005, was "Homecoming Sunday" and our last 155th Church Anniversary event. The Lord of the Church has, indeed, blessed us as the Mother Church of Detroit Lutheranism. Each year, God challenges us to remember from whence we came and to reiterate where we are going. Part of the Lutheran High School Band greeted worshippers with homecoming music outside in front of the church.

We were indeed blessed to have The Rev. Dr. Kieschnick, LCMS, President, Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod to preach all three services. The Historic Trinity Cathedral Bell Choir performed and the children of the Sunday School sang at the 9:30 service.

There was a catered continuous reception in the Huegli Auditorium from 9:30 a.m. thru 1:00 p.m. with an opportunity for you to chat with the Rev. Dr. Gerald B. Kieschnick. As a homecoming gift each family present was given an Historic Trinity picture calendar.
