Historic Trinity The Luther Tower included in Booklet 7

Booklet 7: Historic Trinity's Building Artifacts
72 pages

Construction of this church started at the beginning of 1929, and was complete in 1931. This Lutheran Cathedral is the finest in liturgical architecture in the mid-west of America. Mr. Charles Gauss, the donor of this building, interviewed the architects and artists, reviewed their drawings, and together with Dr. Otte, determined who would design and build this most outstanding church. Mr. Gauss put no price limitations on this project. After more than two years of planning and building, the church was dedicated on Quinquagesima Sunday, February 15, 1931, as a thank offering of members of our congregation for blessings they received.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Gauss donated the structure itself, and a number of societies and individuals gave altar furnishing as gifts and memorials. The total cost of the church, with all its furnishings, was approximately $400,000.

This booklet contains photos and descriptions of Historic Trinity's exterior views and stone statues, various interior rooms and their artifacts, and the rooms and artifacts in Otte Hall (the parish hall attached to the church).
